6 HOUR TRAINING SWIM
I officially kicked off my 2025 open water swim season on THURSDAY, April 24th, with a 6 hour training swim in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor!

UPDATE: Success! English Channel (#3) qualifier is checked off the TO DO list (YAY!). It was the most beautiful swim and a complete success! The water was between 57-59f degrees the entire swim. I swam 13.6 miles in total and enjoyed every minute.
This training swim serves as my “qualifying swim” for my 3rd English Channel swim this coming July! Per the CSA rules, all swimmers must complete this 6hr swim in the year leading up to a channel swim- & most importantly it needs be in 60 degrees or colder water- so, it doesn’t matter how far or fast I go - the time & colder temperature is most important! This swim is also excellent training as I prepare for my 2nd BAY TO BALTIMORE SWIM this coming May!!
Thursday, April 24 / ~7:15am - 1:15pm
🏁 Start: ~7:15am @ Bond Street Wharf in Fells Point (I will be jumping in from my support boat)
🌀Route: loops around the harbor! No major route- but we are excited to swim by our favorite Baltimore waterfront spots & say hello!
🛑 Finish @ Bond Street Wharf - around 1:15pm- the 6 hour mark is the finish line! We will aim to finish by Bond Street Wharf - join us there to celebrate & high five about a healthier harbor!
Distance: TBD! Distance isn’t the focus- it’s more about time & temperature, but it should be a beautiful day!!
Thank you to Freedom Boat Club for the boat support!
📍 I invite you to follow the LIVE TRACKER & social media updates to follow my progress & see where I am in real time!
+Come out, wave, & say hello as I swim close to shore- and, come by at the finish- it’s going to be a beautiful day!
Thank you so much to my sponsors & partners supporting my 2025 swim season. More details here on my swims ahead and ways to support. Thank you to those following & cheering me on!
It is so exciting to be training in Baltimore’s harbor after the decades-long clean up efforts to make the Baltimore Harbor a swimmable and safe recreational resource for the city. As a proud Baltimorean, it is an honor and a dream come true to be able to continue to celebrate and highlight Baltimore through my sport.🖤
